Did you know if you need a last minute gift you can always buy an Amazon gift card? You can print it on your own printer or email it. Or, my favorite method is to buy the gift card via email to myself and then copy and paste the code inside a Christmas card! This saves on paper too. (always try to be eco-friendly)
If you've never used an Amazon gift card, you should know you only have to apply the code one time to your account. Then the balance remains until you use it up. This is how I buy my Kindle books. I keep a running gift card balance on my account so I never have to worry about how much money I spend on my books I download.
